It says about plains Indians being the American Indians. It talks about the Rocky Mountains and the Mississippi River.  The website tells about all the different plain Indians. It is vast grassland stretching from northern Alberta and Saskatchewan in Canada to the Rio Grande border of Texas.  The Arapaho, Assiniboin, Blackfoot, Cheyenne, Comanche, Plains Cree, Crow, Hidatsa, Kiowa, Mandan, Osage, Pawnee, and Sioux are Plains Indians.

CRONUS

 

Cronus was in charge of the Titans.

He came to power by castrating his father, Uranus.

He was tricked into swallowing a rock instead of Zeus.

His parents are Uranus and Gaea.

His most famous offspring is Zeus.

His special power is having power over the Titans.

His wife is Rhea.

HADES

 

Hades is ruler of the dead and lord of the underworld. 

This power was given to him that is how he obtained it. 

Hades gets his two helps that he sends up to the upper world to do bad things to people so that the people will be sent down to the under world to Hades. 

Hades parents are Cronus and Rhea. Hades has no famous off spring. 

Hades has this special helmet that when he puts it on it makes him invisible. 

Hades has no spouse.

POSEIEDON

 

He is a god of many names but is known for being the god of the sea. 

He got this power by getting it given to him. 

People gave sacrifices to him for his good deed. 

Poseidon parents are Cronus and Rhea. 

It is not stated that Poseidon has no offspring. 

This god has no amazing powers listed. 

It is not stated that Poseidon has a spouse but he does had a big love affair with Demeter, his sister.

ZEUS

 

Zeus is the god of the sky or the upper world. 

He got this rule by taking it from Cronus. 

They have the Olympus games up in the Upper land. 

Zeus’s parents are Cronus and Rhea. 

Zeus has a very famous offspring, his name was Hercules. 

Zeus has the power to throw lightning bolts and control the thunder and rain. 

His spouse is Hera.

ARES

 

Ares was a god of action and determination.

He was a great warrior.

His parents are Zues and Hera.

He was the father of Deimos and Phobos.

He had the power of protection.

He was not married.

URANUS

Uranus is the sky god and first ruler.

He is the son of Gaea, who created him without help.

Cronus, encouraged by Gaea, castrated him

husband of Gaea and together they had many offspring, including twelve of the Titans.

Atlas was the son of Iapetus.

Unlike his brothers Prometheus and Epimetheus, Atlas fought with the other Titans supporting Cronus against Zeus.

Due to Cronus's advance age Atlas lead the Titan's in battle.

As a result he was singled out by Zeus for a special punishment and made to hold up the world on his back.

She was raised by the Titans Ocean and Tethys.

She is the protector of marrage and takes special care of married women.

Her sacred animals are the cow and the peacock.

Zeus courted her unsuccesfully.

He then turned to trickery, changing himself into disheveled cuckoo.

Hera feeling sorry for the bird held it to her breast to warm it.

Zues then resumed his normal form and taking advantage of the suprise he gained, raped her.

She then married him to cover her shame

Apollo is the son of Zeus and Leto.

His twin sister is Artemis.

He is the god of music, playing a golden lyre.

The Archer, far shooting with a silver bow.

The god of healing who taught man medicine.

The god of light. The god of truth, who can not speak a lie.

He is famous for his oracle at Delphi. People travled to it from all over the greek world to devine the future.

 His tree was the laurel. The crow his bird.

The dolphin his animal.

Athena is the daughter of Zeus.

She sprang full grown in armour from his forehead, thus has no mother.

She is fierce and brave in battle but, only wars to defined the state and home from outside enemies.

She is the goddess of the city, handicrafts, and agriculture.

She invented the bridle, which permitted man to tame horses, the trumpet, the flute, the pot, the rake, the plow, the yoke, the ship, and the chariot. She is the embodiment of wisdom, reason, and purity.

She was Zeus's favorite child and was allowed to use his weapons including his thunderbolt.

Her favorite city is Athens. Her tree is the olive. The owl is her bird. She is a virgin goddess.

She has no husband or children as far as I could find.

Aphrodite is the goddess of love, desire and beauty.

In addition to her natural gifts she has a magical girdle that compels anyone she wishes to desire her

The other goes back to when Cronus castrated Uranus and tossed his severed genitles into the sea.

Aphrodite then arose from the sea foam on a giant scallop and walked to shore in Cyprus.

She is the wife of Hephaestus. The myrtle is her tree.

The dove, the swann, and the sparrow her birds.
